I first discovered this Preserve when in March of 2010 I finally got around to exploring some of the hikes highlighted in an article I had seen in Sunset Magazine called "35 Hikes Off Skyline Blvd". My first hike here was about a month too early to experience the wildflowers the area is known for. I meant to go back but I got real busy with some other stuff until 3 years and a month later when I finally made it back (April 2013). I had a bit better luck with the wildflowers but lack of rain that year probably limited the wildflower display. All that aside this is a great place for open expanses and panoramic views of the Coast and the South Valley (Borell Hill gives a 360 degree view of both). There are also dense Oak forests and easy access to Skyline Ridge OSP's Alpine Lake. I look forward to future visits and I will update the gallery as I do.
